That actually looks quite good for one of those things.

Out of interest how does the upper bed bit work??

That looks like so much fun, ideal for the odd trip to the (motor) races/europe 8) .

I can confirm that the bongo is a great car, Pete was kind enough to loan me it a couple of years ago and I fell in love with it. it's really quirky and clever and that was before the kitchen got fitted.

The upper bed bit is raised at the touch of a button you then climb through the hatch, pop the hatch back down and you have a flat bed area (very comfy for a nights kip I can confirm)

All very good and well worth a look if you're interested :bravo
Walking isn't a lost art: one must, by some means, get to the garage.

It would be a 97 or 98 R, just waiting for the log book back ( plate retention, like water retention I think )
MPG is 30 odd, depends on what you are doing.
Insurance is specialist stuff and I renewed not long back for 250 quid ish for 3 drivers too.

Ive also not had sex in it, if that helps, well, maybe the once.

What are they like for parts? What other Mazda do they share parts with?

Engine is common, ford ranger I think.
All parts available from the bongo club as well as eBay etc.
Wheel pattern is rx7 so you can bling those up.
Rads and the like are avail from the bay or even some factors.
There's quite a community for them :)

never been to a bongo fest though...
